Meeting safely
Galley checks that members are airline crew. It cannot check how anyone behaves. Treat a first meetup the way you would treat meeting a colleague from another base for the first time.
Before
- Meet in a public place: a café, a restaurant, a park, the hotel lobby bar. Never a room.
- Tell someone on your own crew where you are going and who with.
- Keep your hotel to yourself. The app never asks for it and you should not share it in a chat.
- Look at the profile: airline, verification date, how long they have been a member.
During
- Keep your own transport. Do not rely on someone else to get you back.
- Drink at your own pace, if at all; you may be flying tomorrow.
- Leave the moment anything feels off. You owe nobody an explanation.
After
- If something was wrong, use Report on the profile or the chat. Reports go to a person and get a decision within 72 hours. Reporting also blocks them for you immediately.
- A "not crew" report puts the account back into verification until it passes.
What the app does for you
- Nothing about you is visible to anyone who is not verified and in the same city on overlapping dates.
- A first message from someone you have not met is a request; nothing more is delivered until you accept.
- Block hides both of you from each other everywhere.
- Women-only events are visible only to members who have set their gender to female.
